PBS NC Preview Screening of Razing Liberty Square and Virtual Discussion

PBS North Carolina, MDC, and RiverRun International Film Festival proudly present an Indie Lens Pop-up Preview Screening of Razing Liberty Square and Virtual Discussion

Join us for an exciting online event! Be the first to catch a sneak peek of the thought-provoking Independent Lens documentary, Razing Liberty Square. Liberty City, Miami was home to one of the oldest segregated public housing developments in the United States. It sits on a ridge twelve feet above sea level. This eye-opening film delves into the pressing issues of climate gentrification, climate change, and housing inequities, shining a light on the challenges many communities face today.

After the screening, participate in a virtual discussion with MDC’s own, president and CEO, John Simpkins. Share your thoughts, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations about the impact of climate change and housing inequities on our society.
