Elyse Griffin

Elyse works with the Learning for Equity: A Network for Solutions (LENS-NC) team as a Program Manager. Prior to coming to MDC, she worked at public universities including the University of Virginia and East Carolina University where she grew her passion for educational equity and access through the development of student-centered programs. 

In 2019, she moved to the Triangle to go back to school and build her knowledge of how to support students through human-centered design. Spending time working with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as the Center for Racial Equity in Education has pushed her to find new ways to support marginalized students across North Carolina. 

Her interests outside of educational equity and access include knitting, crochet, making pottery, and playing board games.
