- Vision to Action in Africa
Vision to Action in Africa was a program to help the University of Namibia develop a new community college campus in Northern Namibia.
Northern Namibia, following generations of colonial rule, economic distress, and political instability, faced the challenge of building a future for its people.
The Ford Foundation in 1998 invited MDC to assist with applying learnings from its Rural Community College Initiative to develop a new community-college-style campus in Northern Namibia for the University of Namibia.
Through the RCCI's Vision to Action strategic planning process, a team of community, university, civic, and government leaders with assistance from MDC and the Ford Foundation developed a vision for the future of the region's people and implemented a long-term strategic plan to achieve their vision.
