Payal Shah

Payal Shah supports MDC Rural Forward’s projects as a program associate, driven by her passion for racial equity, addressing educational gaps, and combating poverty in rural communities. 

Currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at UNC-Chapel Hill, she aims to build a career in rural community development upon graduation. Payal’s professional background includes corporate, legal assistance, and stewardship roles. Originally from a small coastal town in North Carolina, her hobbies include playing soccer, cooking, and exploring local coffee shops.
