Genesis Ramirez

Genesis is a communications associate at MDC, supporting the creation and implementation of campaigns and strategies to highlight MDC’s work throughout the South.

Hailing from a small town in eastern North Carolina, she holds a deep connection to her roots. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Spanish at North Carolina State University. As a first-generation Latina, Genesis is driven by her community-focused upbringing to effect tangible change.

Beyond her academic work, Genesis is an advocate for community empowerment, actively engaged in diverse projects and initiatives aimed at uplifting those around her. She believes in the power of effective communication to bridge divides and create positive societal shifts.
