FEMA Emergency Preparedness Demonstration - City of Hampton case study

The case study consists of three parts. First, it profiles the City of Hampton’s physical and social vulnerability and its local emergency management capacity. Second, it covers the four phases of the Emergency Preparedness Demonstration (EPD) planning process aimed at engaging and empowering local residents: Community Entrée and Building Connections; Constructing the Current Reality; Data to Action; and Implementation. Third, it discusses the lessons learned from the planning process. In addition, the appendices of this report include details about the methods for collection and analysis of the data used for this case study.
