Research and experts from MDC are often cited in local, regional, and national reports about ways the South and the nation can, by creating equity in education and the workplace, improve people’s lives and the economic vitality of their communities.
Op-ed columns based on the insights gained through our research and community-based programs have run in many newspapers, helping people understand the challenges the nation faces and the solutions we have developed over decades of work. Of particular note are op-eds based on our State of the South reports, which have focused on the critical links that areas such as postsecondary success and Passing Gear philanthropy have with community and economic revitalization.
